My Weird Writing Tips by Caleb Earls

We've been reading the book, My Weird Writing Tips by Dan Gutman.  It's been a fun way to prepare for writing narratives and we've come up with some very creative ideas!  The book got us started with one about a germ that lives in a mouth and is falling for a girl germ.  The students had to finish the story from there.  This is what our blogger this week, Caleb Earls, wrote...

      The girl germ was washed away on the middle of the tongue. Germy tried to help her for like 5 minutes before he finally gave up but as he was walking away he heard a coughing noise behind him. He turned around and saw her standing and he rushed over there and she said " Hi my name is Germina, my parents got washed away with mouth wash, will you help me?" Germy was so excited she wasn't dead and would do anything for her, so he said yes. They planned it all night. And they knew when the mouthwash came every morning.
   The Evil Mr. Uvula knew their plan so he was determined to stop them. So when they were ready to get washed away by the mouthwash Evil Mr. Uvula said, "Hey, know where your parents are, come here." So, Germy wanted to do anything to find this girls parents, he walked over there and Evil Mr. Uvula grabbed him and the mouthwash came. 
       The mouthwash pulled Germina out of the mouth and down the sink. Germy punched Mr. Uvula and tumbled out of the mouth without Germina.
      The fall was very far to the sink, then he got there and thought he lost her but he looked in the drain and saw her with her parents. He went down there and she introduced them and told her parents everything he has done for her. Her parents thanked him, he married their daughter, and raised children with her and they lived happily ever after.

"I hope you learned something from my paper..."
"These are the reasons why...."
"The End :) "

These words written like that are now dead!  We can't use them anymore!

BOO! Happy Halloween! By Allison Gale

What's better than free candy?!  Nothing!  All kids like Halloween, including Mrs. Limke's class! We had a Halloween party with music, food and fun!  Mrs. Limke even took song requests!

Our class looks great in their costumes!  First, we took a fun picture, then a scary/silly picture!

Our class had so much fun dancing!  We can't wait until next year!

The Salt Festival Field Trip by Tommy Addington

Have you been to the Salt Festival?  Well we have, it was fun.  We learned how salt is made and it stinks really bad.  We learned about soap making and black smiths.  Here is a picture from our trip.

Kentucky Kids Week Talent Show! By Kate Cook

We had a Talent Show on Thursday to celebrate Kentucky Kids Week.  Here are some pictures...

This is Tessa and Kate about to sing "I Love the Way" by Arina Grande.  It was a good performance.  We have a lot of great singers in our class.

This is Tabitha and Yaire, our artists in our class.  Talents are not just singing and dancing they can be drawing too.  Also in the picture Tabitha is holding up a picture and so is Yaire.  They are amazing drawings.

Wow, don't we have a lot of superstars in our class?  The reason they were superstars was you were allowed to dress up as your favorite superstar.  So don't mistake them for any ordinary student, they are superstars!

Do you like the song "Roar?"  Well these girls do!  They performed "Roar" by Katy Perry.  They sang and danced and had a fun time with it.  It must have taken a lot of guts to sing in front of your class.

This is Khaled!  He brought in his guitar and played for us.  He is very talented!

Adventures in Economics by Michele Mora

We have just started studying scarcity.  Scarcity is to have too little of something when lots of people want it.  We did this with popcorn and we played the game musical chairs.  We've been studying economics and we get money for being a STAR student and trying.

4H Begins! by Anthony Raper

Meet our new 4H teacher.  His name is Mr. Brown.  He teaches us more than just 4H, he teaches us to properly introduce ourselves.  Mr. Brown is 6'7" tall!  Also, meet our new leaders - Cody is President, Eric is VP and Colt is Secretary.  We're excited to inform you about our 4H club, The Goldenrods.
